In continuation of our Customer Spotlight blog series, we will today have a look at another Thai startup, called GoWabi. We’ve had the opportunity to interview Vadim Eremeev, the startup’s chief technology officer. GoWabi is a fairly new start-up that enables you to easily search and book beauty & wellness venues such as spas, nail salons, hair treatment salons, places to get your eyebrows done and/or your eyelashes extended, etc.

 

We’ve decided to interview GoWabi, because the company has some experience with Gogoprint, having already ordered multiple times, and having printed many business cards and flyers with us. Let’s dive right into the interview, which is transcribed below, as usual.

Hi there, can you give us a brief intro?

 

Hello! My name is Vadim Eremeev, I’m working as chief technology officer at GoWabi.

 

Nice to meet you, Vadim. Could you tell us exactly what your role entails ?

 

Sometimes people get confused between the titles “CEO” and “CTO” haha, thinking that I’m the CEO, which is funny. Basically my main duty is to develop the company’s strategic technical direction, and to make sure that the company continues to offer the best technological platform in a dynamic and highly-competitive space. It is a captivating position, because the technology that I develop with my team directly connects small businesses and their customers, affecting both.

 

That’s very important duty indeed. So what exactly does GoWabi do?

 

The goal of Gowabi is to become the leading beauty and wellness booking service in South-East Asia. In practice, the platform allows you to browse and book beauty and wellness services 24/7. As an additional benefit, the size of our platform also means that we can negotiate better prices for all the customers that book through us. For each of your bookings, you can choose to pay at the salon, or to pay online by credit card. With each booking made through us, you collect “GoWabi Points” on your account, which will entitle you to discounts. All-in-all, our platform makes it easier for you to find and book beauty and wellness services around you, and allows you to save a lot of time in the process.

How it works 


That sounds quite convenient! I might try it soon haha! So what would you say your main customer group is?

 

GoWabi mainly targets Millennials (women around 18-34 years old) who want to feel and look beautiful, and pamper themselves   

 

I think women around this age are very interested in taking good care of themselves and look good, so it’s a very promising market I would say :) Can you tell us about your short-term plans, or share any insights?

 

Our goal is to become the market leader of beauty & wellness platforms in Thailand  and later South-East Asia. We aim to achieve this by building more trustworthiness and reliability into our online service. We have recently started planning to enter some neighbouring countries in order to make beauty and wellness services more accessible and easy to book throughout all of South-East Asia, and not only Thailand.

 

In this new technological age, online booking of beauty & wellness services is probably going to be a growing business, so I’d say you’re in a sweet spot if you can capture enough customers. Now let’s get back to your experience with Gogoprint: How do you feel about our service?

 

Personally, I was quite impressed with Gogoprint’s service in general, but particularly its customer service, which is extremely helpful. The website is very easy to use, and it i think that it is even very usable for new users who have no experience in ordering business cards or any other print products. Everything is explained quite clearly, and the different steps to submit an order flow effortlessly. I’ve browsed the Gogoprint blog as well, and it offers some useful content to help close artwork, so I just shared it with our designer to make sure everything was OK before sending our files



You’re very welcome haha :) So how would you say Gogoprint helps GoWabi to achieve its goals ?

 

Business cards are crucial for any business, and they can run out very fast. It is just great that Thailand now has this online service that allows you to order business cards very fast and conveniently, and enables you to get them delivered as fast as 1 day after the actual order. Same goes for printing flyers and leaflets, which you can get as fast as 48 hours after ordering. This is very useful when an event unexpectedly pops up for example.



Cool :) Last but not least, can you mention the 3 things that you like most about Gogoprint ?

 

Easy to use website. Quality of the ordered business cards. Free and fast delivery.



And what’s your advice on how we could improve Gogoprint’s service even further?

 

Umm, maybe to implement a loyalty program for frequent customers.

 

We have actually thought about this, and will probably offer it at some point. Final question, can you share with us your thought of the day ?
